Basionym: Dendrobium pemae.
Rhizome to 40 cm long, suberect to patent, stem-like, branching, rigid, roots elongated, filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs 3-5 cm apart, 1-leaved, narrowly ellipsoid or oblongoid, laterally flattened, 3-3.5 by 0.7-1 cm. Leaves elliptic, 8-11 by 2.5-3.2 cm, base narrowed, apex apiculate, subcoriaceous, glabrous. Inflorescences in terminal fascicles, arising just below the abaxial side of the leaf, 1-flowered. Floral bracts minute. Pedicel and ovary 1 cm, glabrous, cylindrical. Flower c. 1 cm across. Dorsal sepal ovate, 0.65 cm long, apex apiculate. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate, 0.65 cm long, apex obtuse; mentum triangular, 5 mm long, obtuse. Petals obliquely ovate-lanceolate, c. 0.6 cm long, apex obtuse; glabrous. Lip 3-lobed below the middle, 1 by 0.65 cm between the lateral lobes, base cuneate, keels 3, extending to a little below the apex of the midlobe, the median straight, the lateral keels flexuose on the midlobe; lateral lobes obliquely triangular, short, obtuse, erect; midlobe 0.55 cm long, 0.38 cm wide near the apex, oblong-rectangular, slightly widened towards the shortly bilobulate apex, the lobules obliquely rhombic, obtuse. Column short, clinandrium 3-lobulate, the lateral lobules larger than the median, triangular, with the posterior margin sparsely denticulate; column-foot narrowly oblong, obtuse. Anther rounded-cucullate, glabrous.

Habitat: Epiphyte in hill forest. Altitude 400 m.

Distribution: New Guinea (endemic).
