Type: Versteeg 1601 (holo BO 2x; iso L)
Epiphytic. Leaves 8-12 by 0.65-0.9 cm. Sepals narrower than in the typical form. Petals narrower than in the typical form, clearly spathulate. Apical callus of the lip minute. (After Smith, 1909).
Colours: Sepals and petals yellow-green, lip white with two purple spots, column spotted purple.
Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest in shaded positions. Altitude 0 m.
Flowering time in the wild: June, July.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
