Epiphyte, pendulous, branched at the base, to 30 cm high. Rhizome terete, glabrous; sheaths laxly clasping the pseudobulbs. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs distant, minute, cylindrical, terete, glabrous, 0.6-0.7 by 0.2 cm. Leaves lanceolate, acute or acuminate, thin for the genus, glabrous, 5-8 by 1.6-2;5 cm below the middle; base narrowed, subpetiolate. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, laxly covered with clasping peduncle-scales. Floral bracts lanceolate, acuminate, hardly longer than the ovary. Flowers rather small in the genus, pendulous. Sepals lanceolate, strongly acuminate, glabrous; 0.7 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals falcate-incurved, lanceolate, acute, minute, glabrous, scarcely 0.2 cm long; base widened. Lip somewhat fleshy, narrowly tongue-shaped, subacute; base with 2 minutely serrulate auricles or lobes, densely covered with rounded papillae. Column in the genus slender; stelidia short, subquadrangular, auriculiform, the upper margin denticulate. Anther rounded, broadly obtuse. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. Colours: Flower yellowish. Lip in the middle red.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 500 m.

Flowering time in the wild: April.
