Differs from the typical variety in the long creeping rhizome; longer leaves; the long peduncles, with the inflorescence usually distinctly overtopping the leaf; and in the somewhat larger flowers. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)
Colours: Flowers white.
Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 600 to 1000 m.
Flowering time in the wild: July, September.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
