Distribution in New Guinea: Not known.
Notes: There can be no doubt that some of the later described species of section Biloba will prove to be synonyms of Dendrobium bilobum, the only authentic descriptions of which are almost useless. According to Lew & Cribb (1991) this is a widespread species from New Guinea to Fiji, and they give a much better description as well as an illustration, but we are not fully convinced that this indeed represents D. bilobum.
Cultivation: Warm growing epiphyte.
