Terrestrial, erect, 65 cm high. Rhizome stem-like, terete, 0.7 cm diam. Roots flexuose, somewhat carnose, densely pilose. Stem terete, 4-5-leaved, 12 cm high, 0.6 cm diam. Leaves erect-patent, petiolate, blade obliquely elliptic, acuminate, 10-11 cm long, near the middle 3.6-4.2 cm wide, petiole grooved, at the base strongly dilated and sheathing. 4-5 cm long. Inflorescence erect, straight, especially towards the apex glandulose-puberulous, with several small, acuminate scales; rachis elongated, densely many-flowered, all-sided, up to 23 cm long. Floral bracts erect-patent, lanceolate, acuminate, more or less surpassing the ovary. Flowers suberect, not resupinate. Sepals oblong-ovate, obtuse, outside glandulose-puberulous, 0.4 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely oblong, below the middle along the front margin somewhat dilated, in the apical third narrowly and obliquely rhombic, obtuse, almost as long as the sepals. Lip uppermost, in outline narrowly ovate, 0.33 cm long, cucullate-concave, at the apex elongated into a rather obtuse, incurved apiculum, inside above the base with two short, falcate-subulate appendages with two smaller appendages in front of these. Column short; frontal lamellae two, towards the apex wing-like, obtuse; rostellum slightly surpassing the wings; stigmas thick. Ovary glandulose-puberulous, slender-cylindrical, 0.7 cm long.
