Rhizome to 45 by 0.06-0.12 cm diam. Top part of the lip gradually tapering into a (sub)acute tip. (After Vermeulen, 1993)
Colours: As for subsp. absconditum.
Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 0-1500 m.
Flowering time in the wild: June, August.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
