Bulbophyllum discolor cubitale

Bulbophyllum discolor Schltr. subsp. cubitale J.J.Verm., Orchid Monogr. 7 (1993) 159, fig. 111 o-q

Type: Jongejan cult. 3230 = Leiden cult. 940446 (holo L, alc. only)

Sepals acute to very shortly acuminate, the median 0.3-0.43 cm long. Petals 0.07-0.09 cm long. Lip 0.1-0.13 cm long, approximately orbicular in outline. (After Vermeulen, 1993)

Colours: Sepals whitish with dark purple veins. Petals white with a purple vein. Lip purple.

Habitat: Epiphyte in montane forest; 2145-2450 m.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).

Cultivation: Cool growing epiphyte.
