Epiphyte, very small, c. 9 cm high. Rhizome short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs narrowly ovoid-conical, 1-leaved, 1-1.3 by 0.3-0.45 cm below the middle. Leaf erect, ligulate, minutely apiculate, glabrous, including the petiole 5.5-7 by 0.5-0.7 cm in the middle; base gradually narrowed. Inflorescence 1-flowered, rather short, 1.3-1.8 cm long, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bract very small, many times shorter than the slender pedicel. Flower erect. Sepals oblong-lanceolate, subobtuse, glabrous, 0.9 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, at the base along the front margin somewhat dilated. Petals obliquely ovate-lanceolate, obtuse, 0.25 cm long; above the base along the front margin somewhat dilated; apex with sparse, large, subulate papillae. Lip oblong-ligulate, obtuse, 0.5 cm long, glabrous; underneath grooved. Column medium-sized; stelidia subulate, about as long as the column; column-foot somewhat incurved. Anther quadrangular-oblongoid, cucullate, glabrous; apex truncate. Pedicel and ovary glabrous, c. 3 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1000 m.

Flowering time in the wild: May.
