Epiphyte, straight, with many rhizomes, c. 15 cm high. Rhizomes terete, glabrous, entirely covered with clasping, withered sheaths. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs laxly spaced, very small, erect-patent, subcylindrical, to the base somewhat dilated, terete, glabrous, 0.5-0.6 by 0.2 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf erect-patent linear, shortly acuminate, rather thick, glabrous, 4.5-6 by 0.5 cm; to the base somewhat narrowed. Inflorescence very short, covered with sheaths, 1-flowered. Floral bracts ovate, shortly acuminate, much shorter than the ovary. Flowers rather small in the genus, not resupinate. Sepals lanceolate, acute, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, Petals minute, obliquely and narrowly oblong-ligulate, obtuse, glabrous, 0.15 cm long. Lip linguiform, oblong, subobtuse, somewhat fleshy, glabrous, 0 2 cm long; in the middle hardly constricted. Column short, rather thick; stelidia very small; column-foot short. Anther cucullate, apically emarginate, glabrous. Ovary subcylindrical, glabrous, pedicellate, including the pedicel 0.2 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1905)

Colours: Flower yellowish.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 400 m.

Flowering time in the wild: January.
