Differs from the typical variety in the flower colour and in the more caudate-elongated sepals. (After Schlechter, 1913)
Colours: Flower yellow striped red. Lip dark red. Column yellow.
Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1100 m.
Flowering time in the wild: December.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
