Epiphyte, 8-10 cm high. Rhizome short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs very small, conical-cylindrical, 0.3-0.4 by 0.2-0.25 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, oblong-ligulate, obtuse; base gradually narrowed into a slender petiole, glabrous, including the petiole 6-10 by 1.2-2 cm in the middle. Inflorescence 1-flowered, short, c. 1 cm long; base with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts very small, many times shorter than the long pedicellate ovary. Flower erect. Median sepal ovate-lanceolate, acute, glabrous, 1.3 cm long. Lateral sepals obliquely oblong, obtuse, glabrous, 1.5 cm long. Petals obliquely oblong-ligulate, obtuse, 0.3 cm long; to the apex inside and along the margins minutely papillose-verruculose. Lip curved, fleshy, short, in outline ovate-oblong, obtuse, 0.35 cm long; base cordate; in basal half obtusely 2-ribbed, glabrous, hardly surpassing the column arms. column short; stelidia linear, subacute, medium-sized. Anther oblongoid helmet shaped, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary very slender, glabrous, c. 5.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)

Colours: Flower outside white, inside with light red dots.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 400 m.

Flowering time in the wild: July.
