Type: Schlechter 16554 (holo B, lost)

Differs from the typical variety in the 30-35 cm long and up to 2.7 cm wide leaves, also in the broader and shorter lip. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)

Colours: Flowers white.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1000 m.

Flowering time in the wild: September.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
