Epiphytic, erect, small, c. 20 cm high. Rhizome very short; roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs very small depressed-globose, c. 0.8 cm diam., 2-leaved, entirely covered by the few, basal, sometimes more or less leaf-like cataphylls. Leaves erect, ligulate, at the apex unequally and obtusely bilobulate, at the base somewhat narrowed, glabrous, almost coriaceous, 10-14 cm long, near the middle 1.3-1.5 cm wide. Inflorescence arising at the base of the pseudobulbs, erect, a little longer than the leaves; peduncle terete, c. 12 cm long, with c. 5 laxly clasping, distant peduncle-scales; rachis densely many-flowered, subsecund. Floral bracts ovate, apiculate, a little shorter than the flowers. Sepals ovate, glabrous, 0.3 cm long. Median sepal obtuse. Lateral sepals apiculate, oblique, in front at the base along the margin distinctly dilated; mentum obtuse, c. 0.2 cm long. Petals obliquely ovate, subobtusely apiculate, glabrous, along the the front margin somewhat decurrent, only slightly more than 0.2 cm long. Lip spurred, with a short claw with incurved margins; blade suborbicular, apiculate, inside in basal half minutely papillose-puberulous, when flattened the claw 0.15 cm long, blade 0.25 cm long and wide; spur at the base of the claw, suberect, oblong, obtuse, c. 0.1 cm long. Column short, glabrous; rostellum deeply bifid; stigma almost square. Anther rounded, dorsally with a hump; pollinia obliquely obovoid; stipe short; viscidium minute, rounded. Ovary shortly pedicellate, clavate, glabrous, 0.03 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911)
