Roots 0.1 cm diameter, rather thick, densely pubescent, not branching. Rhizome creeping, 0.2-0.4 cm diameter, internodes 4-6. Pseudobulbs 2.1-8.8 cm apart, 1.4-6 by 0.18-0.4 cm, round in cross section, subobclavate to cylindrical, internodes 1-2(-3), 1.4-6 cm long; 1(-2)-leaved. Sheath 1. Leaves petiolate; petiole 2.6-6 cm long, channelled, blades 11.5-18 by 2.5-3.8(-4.9) cm (index 3-6), ovate to lanceolate, thin-textured, slightly laciniate in cross-section, base cuneate, apex acute-acuminate to acuminate, glabrous, with 3-5 prominent veins. Inflorescence 1-2 laterally from base of pseudobulb, 23.5-51.7 cm long, laxly 5-23-flowered; peduncle 13-22.2 (-24.5) by 0.1-0.21 cm, sparsely pubescent, internodes 3 (-4), 1.9-8.7 cm long; peduncle scales 1.5-2.1 cm long, tubular, sparsely pubescent, with 4-6 distinct veins; rachis 10-29.5 by 0.1-0.2 cm, densely pubescent, internodes up to 20, 0.5-10 cm long. Bracts 0.45-0.7 by 0.27-0.31 cm, triangular, concave, falcate, apex acuminate, densely pubescent; sterile bracts 1-5. Flowers 0.39-0.9 cm wide, opening in succession. Median sepal 1.1-1.5 by 0.23-0.36 cm, lanceolate, concave, sparsely pubescent, with thick in texture, 3-6 distinct veins, apex acute to acuminate. Lateral sepals 0.81-1.2 by 0.31-0.4 cm, lanceolate, concave, slightly falcate, moderately pubescent, with 3-6 (-7) distinct veins, base broadly cuneate with a short basal lobule clasping spur, apex acute to acuminate. Petals 0.7-0.87 by 0.16-0.4 cm, linear to lanceolate, falcate, abaxially sparsely pubescent, mostly thin-textured, with 3 distinct veins, base broadly cuneate, apex long acute to acuminate. Lip 0.7-1 by 0.4-0.6 cm, adnate to column-foot with basal lamellae, subquadrangular, with 3 distinct veins at base, the lateral two branching into 3-4, at base with a small sac formed by column-foot and lip base 0.06-0.1 (-0.2) cm long, with two flat, thin basal lamellae, grooved along the median of adaxial side, lateral margin thins, margins in upper half slightly serrulate, apex truncate, in the middle with a 0.13-0.2 (-0.3) cm, triangular, acuminate acumen; glabrous. Column 0.5-0.65 by 0.1-0.21 cm, clavate, dorsally sparsely pubescent. Anther 0.2 by 0.1-0.12 cm, ovate in outline, apical margin laciniate, apex subacute, glabrous, with a long keel. Stigma orbicular. Pollinia 0.09 by 0.04-0.05 cm, orbicular in lateral view, caudicle 0.1 cm long. Pedicel with ovary 1-1.3 by 0.04-0.2 cm, clavate, densely pubescent. Colours: Leaves uniformly green. Sepals and petals dull yellow with red-brown spots at the base. Lip cream, tinged yellow with red-brown spots at the base; callus white. Column yellow with purple spots at the base. Anther dull yellow spotted red-brown.

Habitat: Terrestrial in hill forest; 450 m.

Flowering time in the wild: February.

Distribution: Malesia (Moluccas, New Guinea).
