Roots 0.13 cm wide. Rhizome creeping, 0.4 cm diameter. Stems 1.8 cm apart, 43.4-65 by 0.3 cm, erect, terete, leafless internodes 2.5-6 cm long; 8-11-leaved. Cataphylls 7. Leaves petiolate; sheath 5.5 cm long, petiole 1 cm long; blade 19-26 by 1.6-2.9, index 9-12, linear, base cuneate, apex acuminate, glabrous, with 3 prominent, 2 lateral subprominent veins. Inflorescence 57-58.8 cm long, 20-flowered. Peduncle 26.7-40 by 0.2-0.23 cm, sparsely pubescent, internodes 5, 0.4-12.2 cm long; peduncle scales 2.3 cm long, tubular, apex subacute to acuminate, sparsely pubescent; rachis 17-31.5 by 0.2 cm, densely pubescent, internodes 20, 0.6-7.9 cm long. Bracts; sterile bracts 4; floral bracts 0.5-0.6 cm long, triangular, apex subulate-acuminate, densely pubescent on both sides. Flowers medium size. Median sepal 1.45 by 0.45 cm, lanceolate, straight, apex subobtuse, concave, abaxially pubescent, 5 veins. Lateral sepals ca. 1.65 by 0.46 cm, reflexed, obliquely lanceolate, apex incurved, long acuminate, subulate-apiculate, abaxially pubescent, 5 distinct veins. Petals ca. 1.4 by 0.3 cm, obliquely linear-lanceolate, base inconspicuous dilate, straight to apex, near apex incurved, apex recurved, channelled-acuminate, sparsely abaxially pubescent, 3 distinct veins. Lip in total 1.2 by 0.78 cm, short saccate, adnate to column-foot at basal lamellae, with two triangular basal lamellae, strongly convex, in the middle with two long thickenings, convex; when flattened quadrangular, lateral margins patent, apex abruptly truncate, obtusely angular, in the middle with a 0.23 cm long, recurved, triangular, acute acumen. Column 0.6 cm long, thick, margin below angular, obtuse, dilated, sparsely pubescent, basal part adnate to lip, tubular, densely pubescent. Pedicel with ovary 1.75 cm long. Colours: Sepals and petals yellow with red points and dots, lip and inferior part of column white, apical part of column yellow separated from the white part by a red streak.

Habitat: Terrestrial in lowland forest; 150 m.

Flowering time in the wild: August.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
