Epiphytic, leafless, stemless. Roots filiform, flattened, glabrous, elongated, 30-40 cm long, 0.3-0.4 cm wide. Inflorescence erect or erect-patent, densely many-flowered, with the flowers opening in succession; peduncle slender, 10-12 cm long, densely muriculate-hispid; rachis to 3 cm long. Floral bracts ovate or ovate-lanceolate, muriculate-hispid, slightly more than half as long as the ovary . Flowers glabrous. Sepals oblong, 0.35 cm long, obtuse. Lateral sepals somewhat oblique. Petals shorter than the sepals, 0.3 cm long, but distinctly broader, obliquely ovate or elliptic, broadly obtuse. Lip 0.3 by 0.15 cm, in outline oblong, above the middle 3-lobed; lateral lobes short, obtuse; mid-lobe large, reniform, obtuse, somewhat fleshy, from the mouth of the spur to just below the middle of the blade with a lanceolate pit; spur pendulous, 0.7 cm long, slender cylindrical, in apical half slightly and obliquely widened, subobtuse, more than half as long as the ovary. Column very short, glabrous; rostellum elongated, in front ascending. Ovary pedicellate, slender, 0.5 cm long, densely muriculate-hispid. (After Schlechter, 1923)

Colours: Flower yellowish, lip white, spur whitish.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 850 to 1500 m.

Flowering time in the wild: August, September.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
