Epiphytic, slender, pendent, 30-40 cm long. Stem terete, 0.3-0.4 cm diam., leafy, entirely covered with the tightly clasping, minutely strigillose leaf-sheaths. Leaves patent, narrowly lanceolate, acute, densely strigillose-puberulous, 5-6 cm long, near the middle 0.4-0.6 cm wide, somewhat narrowed towards the base. Inflorescences pendent, as long as the leaves or often shorter, densely villose; peduncle 1-1.5 cm long, with 1-2 villose scales; rather laxly 4- to 7-flowered. Floral bracts ovate or ovate-lanceolate, patent, as long as the flowers. Flowers densely villose outside. Median sepal oblong, obtuse, 0.85 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, ovate-triangular, obtuse, almost as long as the median sepal. Petals obliquely spathulate-ligulate, obtuse, glabrous, c. 0.25 cm long. Lip at the base cuneate, 3-lobed, 0.25 cm long, glabrous; lateral lobes short, ovate-triangular, subacute; mid-lobe large, subreniform, apex emarginate, with a short obtuse apicule; inside with a not very conspicuous, oblong callus extending from just below the apex to the base of the lip, decurrent towards the base. Column short; clinandrium with a dorsal lobule. Anther cucullate, dorsally with a minute hump. Ovary obconical, short, thick, densely villose, almost 0.3 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)
