Stem erect, 60-90 cm tall, with c. 7 leaves. Leaves 12.5-21 by 2.5-6.25 cm, elliptic, narrowed to the base, below with 5-9 prominent veins, apex long acuminate. Inflorescence terminal or less often lateral, often paired or in threes, stalked, densely subglobose; peduncle 1.2-3.8 cm long. Floral bracts twice as long as the ovary, at the base broad and concave, apex subulate. Flowers not resupinated. Sepals and petals cohering at the base, ringent, lanceolate, subfalcate, acuminate. Lip shorter than the sepals, at the base shortly adnate to the column, saccate, the sac compressed, outside with two basal keels; blade ovate, acuminate, weakly keeled, concave and slightly constricted below the recurved apical part, at the constriction with swollen margins. Colours: Flower greenish white.
Habitat: Terrestrial in lowland forest.
Flowering time in the wild: July.
Distribution: Malesia (Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, New Guinea), Thailand, Laos, India (Arunachal Pradesh).
