Type: Not designated (New Guinea).
Leaves elliptic-oblong. Flower usually solitary. Petals narrower than the dorsal sepal. Mentum long, doubly retuse, reclined. Lip with rounded, almost inrolled lateral lobes and a patent, ovate, obtuse midlobe. Ovary glabrous.

Notes: Cadetia recurvata is only known from the very poor description, from which a positive identification is impossible. It may be conspecific with Cadetia transversiloba, but in the absence of labelled type material this conclusion cannot be substantiated.
