Cadetia similis Blume, Rumphia 4 (1849) 39.

Type: not designated.

Leaves linear-lanceolate, apex emarginate. Petals very narrow. Mentum short, straight, obtuse. Lateral lobes of the lip subulate, midlobe concave, subtruncate. Ovary hairy.

Distribution: New Guinea.

Distribution in New Guinea: Papua.

Notes: Cadetia similis is only known from Blume's very sketchy description, from which it cannot be recognised. It is undoubtedly related to Cadetia umbellata, but unless a type specimen can be found that is about all that can be asserted about it.

Cultivation: Epiphyte (requirements not known).
