Differs from the typical form in the golden yellow flowers, broader lip, more curved and thicker column, clinandrium with larger lobes. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)

Colours: Flower golden yellow.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest. Altitude 350-450 m.

Flowering time in the wild: May, June.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
