Leaf terete, grooved above up to the apex, 2.2-2.5 by 0.13 cm. Flowers 0.58 cm long. Lip with the apex more abbreviated than in the typical variety. (After Smith, 1915).
Colours: Flower light violet.
Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest.
Flowering time in the wild: July.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
