Stems close together, erect, slender, in cross section ovate, 3.5-10 cm long, 0.1-0.13 cm wide, 1-leaved, at the base covered with sheaths. Leaf erect, narrowly linear, almost semiterete, convex above, channelled-concave, acute, fleshy, 2.7-4 cm long, 0.18 cm wide. Inflorescences fascicled, few-flowered, surrounded by scales, peduncle short, 1-flowered. Flower 0.3 cm wide, 0.36 cm long. Sepals and petals at the base almost parallel, at apex recurved. Median sepal ovate-oblong, obtuse, outside thickened near the apex, 3-nerved, 0.25 cm long, 0.13 cm wide. Lateral sepals obliquely triangular-oblong, somewhat acute, apex thickened outside, 3-nerved, 0.27 cm long, above the base 0.13 cm wide; mentum pointing backwards, shortly six-angled-ovate, dorsally compressed, broadly obtuse, inflated, loosely enveloping the column-foot, pubescent, 0.1 cm long. Petals lanceolate, narrowly obtuse, in the basal part somewhat concave, 1-nerved 0.27 cm long, 0.06 cm wide. Lip clawed, porrect, concave, 3-nerved, inside with 2 parallel puberulous keels extending to somewhat beyond the middle, in apical part in between with a small third keel, when flattened in total 0.34 cm long, 0.16 cm wide, claw oblong, concave, 0.08 cm long, blade ovate, concave, thickened in apical part, obtuse, papillose, in the basal part ciliolate. Column 0.1 cm long, bipartite, arms parallel, oblong, rounded, convex outside, concave inside. Anther cucullate, apex thickened, rounded, at the base bilobulate, 0.04 cm long. Column-foot pointing backwards, 0.04 cm long. Ovary with pedicel pubescent, 0.26 cm long. (After Smith, 1913)

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest. Altitude 240 m.

Flowering time in the wild: October.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
