Basionym: Corysanthes calophylla var. sepalina
Differs from the typical variety by the longer sepals and petals, which are more than twice as long as the spurs. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914, as Corysanthes calophylla Schltr. var. sepalina Schltr.).
Colours: Same as the typical variety.
Habitat: Terrestrial in humus under shrubs on mountain ridges. Altitude 1300 m.
Flowering time in the wild: September.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
