Differs from the typical variety in the lower stature and fewer-flowered inflorescences. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)
Colours: Not recorded, presumably flowers light green with darker anther as in the typical variety.
Habitat: Terrestrial in lower montane forest; 1000 m.
Flowering time in the wild: May.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
