Epiphyte, very small. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs narrowly ovoid, c. 1 by 0.4-0.5 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, narrowly linear, acute, glabrous, 10-12 by 0.3 cm near the middle. Inflorescence 1-flowered, 3-3.5 cm long, slender, filiform, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts very small, much shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Flower erect. Sepals lanceolate, acute, glabrous, 1.35 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely lanceolate-linear, acute, 0.4 cm long; margins in apical half with subulate papillae. Lip somewhat fleshy, narrowly lanceolate, acute, glabrous, about as long as the sepals. Column short; stelidia falcate-subulate; column-foot somewhat incurved. Anther helmet shaped-cucullate, umbonate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary slender, glabrous, c. 1.5 cm long. Colours: Flower whitish yellow; sepals with red veins, lip rose-red.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1300 m.

Flowering time in the wild: June.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
