Epiphyte, with spreading, to 30 cm long, stem-like rhizome. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs subcylindrical, subparallel to the rhizome, 0.5-1 by c. 0.2-0.3 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf erect-patent, ovate or elliptic, apiculate, 1.5-3 by 0.8-1.4 cm at or below the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very small, covered with peduncle-scales. Floral bracts apiculate, longer than the ovary. Median sepal broadly elliptic, 0.25 cm long, sparsely and rather inconspicuously finely ciliate. Lateral sepals oblong, 0.4 cm long; basal half boat-shaped-connate; apical half oblong, subobtuse. Petals minute, obliquely broadly elliptic, apiculate, hardly longer than 0.05 cm. Lip elliptic, subobtuse, 0.13 cm long; margins with recurved, bristle-like hairs; base almost clawed. Column short; stelidia large, obliquely lanceolate, acute; column-foot rather thick, well developed. Ovary sessile, glabrous, 0.1 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)

Colours: Flower golden yellow.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1300 m.

Flowering time in the wild: January.
