Differs from the typical variety in the clearly broader leaves up to 4 cm wide. (After Schlechter, 1913)
Colours: Not recorded, presumably the same as var. hians.
Habitat: Epiphyte in montane forest; 2400 m.
Flowering time in the wild: November.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
