Epiphyte, very small. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs narrowly ovoid, 0.4-0.7 cm high; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, ligulate, acute, glabrous, usually more ore less oblique, 3.5-8 by 0.4-0.9 cm near the middle; base gradually somewhat narrowed. Inflorescences 1-flowered, 0.4 cm high, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts cucullate, as long as the ovary. Flower not resupinated. Sepals lanceolate, acute, glabrous, 0.55 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, tightly connate up to the apex. Petals obliquely lanceolate, sharply acute, glabrous, 0.35 cm long; margins sparsely and minutely finely ciliate. Lip oblong-ligulate, obtuse, 0.33 cm long; base with 2 minute auricles; below the middle with a ring-shaped callus; apical half in the middle slightly keel-like thickened; margins densely finely ciliate. Column short, glabrous; stelidia lanceolate-subulate, sharply acute, large; column-foot short. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Ovary sessile, glabrous, 0.1-0.15 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
Colours: Flower purplish red.
Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1000 m.
Flowering time in the wild: May.
