Epiphyte, very small, 2.5 cm high. Rhizome short. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs close-set, very small, narrowly ovoid, narrowed to the apex, 0.4 by 0.25 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, sublinear, to the apex somewhat widened, shortly acuminate, rather thick, glabrous, 1.5-2 by 0.2-0.3 cm above the middle. Inflorescence erect, filiform, glabrous, 1-flowered, almost as long as the pedicel, somewhat exceeding the pseudobulbs. Floral bract ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, many times shorter than the pedicel. Flowers in the genus very small, hardly surpassing the leaves. Sepals ovate-oblong, acuminate, glabrous, 0.35 cm long. Petals narrowly oblong-ligulate, subfalcate, broadly obtuse, glabrous, hardly 0.2 cm long. Lip curved, elliptic, obtuse, glabrous, 0.2 cm long; margins in the middle erect; above grooved; underneath densely papillose-dotted; median line weakly keeled. Column short, rather thick; stelidia erect, subulate, almost two times as long as the anther. Anther rotund; base cordate; apex subobtuse. Ovary very slender pedicellate, clavate, glabrous, including the pedicel 0.7 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1905)
Colours: Flower light yellow. Lip dark violet.
Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 600 m.
Flowering time in the wild: July.
