Epiphyte, spreading, 7-16 cm long. Rhizome stem-like, subflexuose. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs minute, cylindrical, hardly 0.3 cm long; 1-leaved. Leaf erect-patent, oblong-ligulate, apiculate, 1.5-2.3 by 0.5-0.8 cm near the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very short, with a few small, inconspicuous peduncle-scales. Floral bracts cucullate, truncate, as long as the ovary. Flower erect-patent, glabrous. Sepals oblong, broadly obtuse, with thickened apex, 0.3 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely elliptic, obtuse, apiculate, 0.15 cm long. Lip somewhat fleshy, oblong, subcuneate, obtuse, slightly 3-lobed, as long as the petals; front quarter with recurved margins. Column very short; stelidia obliquely oblong, obtuse; column-foot rather thick. Anther cucullate, densely papillose. Ovary sessile, cylindrical, 0.08 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)

Colours: Flower whitish. Sepals with golden yellow apical thickening. Lip brown.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1200 m.

Flowering time in the wild: June.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
