Leaves elliptic-oblong, subobtuse, coriaceous, c. 15 by 4-5 cm; petiole 2-5 cm long. Inflorescences 2.5-4-cm long, 2-3-flowered. Floral bracts ovate-oblong, shortly acuminate, 1.2-1.8 cm long; base tubular. Pedicels 3-4 cm long. Median sepal ovate-lanceolate, acuminate; base concave, 2.5-3 cm long; Lateral sepals narrowed, linear-oblong, acute, 4.5-5 cm long. Petals ovate, acute or subobtuse, 1.2 cm long. Lip fleshy, recurved, acute, 1.2-1.4 cm long; laterally somewhat compressed; margins sharply acute. Column broad, 1 cm long; stelidia acuminate, unequally tridentate. (After Rolfe, 1907)
Colours: Sepals and petals dull yellowish green, spotted with dull purple. Lip light brown, the sides and apex suffused with purple. Column green.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea), Solomon Islands (Bougainville).
