Epiphyte, 9-12 cm high. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, slender, glabrous. Pseudobulbs ovoid or ovoid-oblongoid, very close together, 1.3-1.7 by 0.7-0.9 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, petiolate, narrowly elliptic, acute, 4.5-7.5 by 1.4-2.2 cm near the middle; petiole slender, somewhat rigid, channelled, 2-3.2 cm long; base shortly cuneate. Inflorescence 1-flowered, solitary, slender, ascending, small sheaths few, 5-6 cm long; glabrous. Floral bract ovate-cucullate, shortly acuminate, much shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Flower in the genus medium size, glabrous. Sepals oblong, subapiculate-acuminate. Median sepal narrower than the lateral ones. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals strongly oblique, sigmoid-curved, in outline ovate; apex acuminate, falcate-adscending; midrib carinate-swollen; base cuneate-subclawed, 6 mm long. Lip at the base shortly clawed, obovate- somewhat slipper-shaped, 1 by 0.7 cm above the middle; apex elongated in a very small, ovate, obtuse lobe; inside with 3 weak ribs; basal auricles small, oblong, obtuse, turned backwards; callus turned backwards, oblong, obtuse, somewhat longer than the auricles, quam unguis labelli dimidio fere breviore. Column very small; stelidia erect, subulate, about as long as the column; column-foot very short. Ovary pedicellate, glabrous, slender, l.8 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1919)
