Type: Schlechter 19790 (holo B, lost; NB: Also syntype number for Bulbophyllum nummularioides Schltr.)

Epiphyte, erect or spreading, 10-17 cm long. Rhizome stem-like, covered with sheaths. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs suberect, subparallel to the rhizome, compressed, ellipsoid or narrowly ellipsoid, 1.5-2 cm apart, 1-1.7 by 0.3-0.6 cm near the middle; 1-leaved. Leaves erect-patent, oblique, elliptic-lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, glabrous, 4.5-7.5 by 1.3-2.6 cm below the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, fascicled, opening in succession, erect-patent; peduncle as long as the pseudobulbs, with a few small peduncle-scales, glabrous. Floral bracts very small, ovate, much shorter than the ovary. Pedicel and ovary glabrous, c. 1 cm long. Flowers erect-patent, glabrous. Median sepal lanceolate-elliptic, subacute, 1.1 cm long. Lateral sepals obliquely elliptic, apiculate, as long as the median sepal. Petals suborbicular, apiculate, somewhat oblique, half the size of the sepals. Lip sac-shaped, broadly obtuse, 0.75 cm high, mouth 0.5 cm wide; in front incised. Column incurved, slender, glabrous, 0.5 cm long, with thickened base; clinandrium on either side divided in 5 fairly long, divergent arms; column-foot very short. Colours: Flower white. Median sepal and petals spotted with pink.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 800-2100 m.

Flowering time in the wild: June.
