Stem rather long, rooting at the base, laxly c. 4-leaved, c. 9 cm long. Leaves sessile or very shortly petiolate, narrowly lanceolate, fairly gradually long acuminate, acute, crispate, laxly reticulate-veined, when dried membranous, 6.1-6.3 by 1.4 cm; Sheath tubular, mouth oblique, shortly fimbriate, c. 1 cm long. Inflorescence erect, laxly many-flowered; secund, peduncle densely coarsely pilose, 7.5 cm long, with c. 3 small, acute, fimbriate, up to 1.8 cm long, above bract-like, rachis 6.75 cm long, hairy like the peduncle. Floral bracts ovate, concave, long subulate-acuminate, shortly irregularly fimbriate, 1-nerved, 0.85 cm by 0.3 cm Flowers 0.4 cm long, sepals and petals cohering. Median sepal concave, apex slightly recurved, oblong-5-angled, apical half narrowed, obtuse, obtusely apiculate, in basal half with denticulate margin, dorsally near the base with very sparse, short, thick hairs, 1-nerved, 0.3 cm by 0.15 cm Lateral sepals obliquely ovate, apex long channelled-cucullate-contracted, when flattened obliquely ovate, obtuse, dorsally especially along the mid-rib sparsely coarsely pilose, concave, 1-nerved, 0.37 (to front margin) by 0.18 cm Petals helmet-like cohering with the median sepal, obliquely spathulate, unequal-sided, subsigmoid, concave, from the cuneate-oblong claw gradually almost semiovate-dilated, 0.3 by almost 0.1 cm, obtuse, upper half of the outer margin somewhat wavy, concave, 1-nerved, nerve slightly sigmoid, claw 0.08 cm long, at the base 0.03 cm wide. Lip for the greater part saccate, base appressed to the column, underneath longitudinally grooved, 0.34 cm long; blade porrect, straight, surpassing the column, making an obtuse angle with the spur, linear, channelled, obtuse, underneath to the spur almost 0.1 cm long, when flattened triangular, obtusely apiculate; spur making an acute angle with the ovary, in lateral view shaped like a parallelogram, obtuse, underside rounded, inside muricate, in front to the base of the blade 0.25 cm long, dorsally to the apex of the ovary almost 0.13 cm long. Column short, 0.2 cm long, base thin, clinandrium high cup-shaped, thin-walled. Anther cucullate, cordate, 0.13 cm long, rather long subacute triangular-rostrate. Rostellum split into two subulate parts. Ovary sessile, curved, 6-grooved, except for the base sparsely coarsely short-pilose, 0.46 cm long. (After Smith, 1934).

Habitat: Terrestrial in lower montane forest. Altitude 1700 m.
