Stem elongated, c. 10 cm long, densely leafy. Leaves c. 15, patent, laterally compressed, sublinear, slightly falcate-incurved, sharply acute, thin-textured, the lower ones larger, decreasing in size, including the sheath c. 3.2-9 cm long, 0.35-0.65 cm wide. Inflorescence elongated, lax, many-flowered, c. 20 cm long, rachis narrowly winged, wings lacerate-serrulate. Floral bracts appressed, lanceolate, long-acuminate, lacerate, the lower ones to 0.38 cm long, upper ones smaller. Flowers minute, widely opening, c. 0.25 cm wide. Median sepal ovate, subacute, convex, 1-nerved, 0.07 by 0.05 cm. Lateral sepals divergent, obliquely ovate, subfalcate, subacute, convex, 1-nerved, 0.13 by 0.06 cm. Petals obliquely oblong, obtuse, with a somewhat wavy margin, 1-nerved, 0.08 by 0.04 cm. Lip at the base broadly cuneate, entire, with two minute, obtuse lobe-like auricles, towards the apex strongly dilated, at the apex broadly emarginate, bilobed, with an apiculum in the sinus, convex, with lacerate margins, 3-nerved, when flattened c. 0.18 cm long and almost as wide. Column very short, rather thick. Anther transversely elliptic with an apical lobule, 0.02 cm wide. Ovary pedicellate, , slender, glabrous, 0.35-0.38 cm long. (After Smith, 1909)
