Epiphyte, very small, c. 18 cm high. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs narrowly conical, 1-2 by 0.5-0.75 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, ligulate, acute, glabrous, 10-16 by 1.6-2.4 cm in the middle; base weakly narrowed into a petiole. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, hardly 1 cm high; peduncle-scales few. Floral bracts elliptic, acute, much shorter than the ovary. Flower erect, small for the section, glabrous. Sepals narrowly elliptic, acute, c. 1 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, the front margin somewhat dilated. Petals obliquely linear-ligulate, subacute, 0.4 cm long. Lip narrowly rhombic, subobtuse, glabrous, about as long as the petals. Column short; stelidia triangular, acuminate, upper margin in the middle somewhat dilated. Anther helmet shaped-cucullate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary 1 cm long, glabrous. (After Schlechter, 1913)

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 150 m.
Flowering time in the wild: September.
