Plant small. Pseudobulbs c. 4-leaved. Leaves persistent, lanceolate, 2.5-7.5 by 0.9-2.3 cm, acutely acuminate, undulate, on either side villose, on either side of the mid-rib, which is grooved above, prominent underneath, with c. 3-7 thin nerves, of which 1-2 more distinct; petiole short, broad, including the sheath 1.5-2.2 cm long, villose. Inflorescence axillary, erect, at the apex about 2-flowered, peduncle terete, villose, 7 cm long, with erect, narrowly ovate, acute, concave, basally tubular, villose, 0.95 cm long scales; rachis similar to the peduncle, 0.6 cm long. Floral bracts persistent, ovate, gradually rather long acuminate, acute, concave, villose, to 1.1 cm long, 0.45 cm wide. Median sepal oblong-elliptic, acutely acuminate, dorsally patent-pubescent, 3-nerved, 1.4 cm long, 0.58 cm wide. Lateral sepals obliquely oblong, rather long conduplicate-acuminate, dorsally patent-pubescent and keeled towards the apex, c. 4-nerved, 1.5 by 0.55 cm wide. Petals obliquely spathulate-subrhombic, slightly falcate, shortly acuminate, glabrous, 3-nerved, 1.18 by 0.56 cm. Lip for 0.25 cm adnate to the column, spurred, 3-lobed, at the base with three callus-like, longitudinal, closely spaced keels that narrow towards the apex and vanish near the base of the mid-lobe, 5-nerved; lateral lobes very small, obliquely oblong, obtuse, 0.25-0.3 by 0.15-0.17 cm; mid-lobe much larger, at the base shortly unguiculate, broadly obreniform-bilobulate, the lobules broadly obliquely rounded-quadrangular, somewhat wavy, with a triangular recurved tooth in the sinus, 0.7 by 0.87 cm; spur terete, thin, not clavate, obtuse, puberulous, 1.25 cm long. Column obliquely obconical, 0.43 cm long, dorsally convex, at the apex obtuse, in front prolonged in two stigmatic lobes that are convex outside, in the basal part with a longitudinal groove. Anther wide. Pollinia 8, clavate. Ovary 6-grooved, pedicellate, densely pubescent. Fruit (immature) 1.5 cm long, pedicel 0.9 cm long. (After Smith, 1915).

Colours: Flower greenish yellow at late anthesis.

Habitat: Epiphyte in montane forest in shaded positions. Altitude 900 m.
