Differs from the typical form in the lateral lobes of the lip being smaller, lanceolate, and acute. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)

Colours: Not recorded, probably as for the typical variety.

Habitat: Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1000 m.

Flowering time in the wild: December.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
