Differs from the typical form in the somewhat smaller lip, with a smaller, apiculate mid-lobe. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest. Altitude 250-800 m.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
