Erect, to 15 cm long. Rhizome very short, roots many, closely spaced, filiform, flexuose. Stems partly simple, partly branched, slender, rather densely leafy, entirely covered with leaf-sheaths. Leaves erect-patent, linear-lanceolate, unequally and obtusely bilobulate, wider towards the base and weakly petiolate-narrowed, glabrous, 1-3 by 0.2-0.4 cm; sheaths very tightly clasping, 0.5-1 cm long, somewhat striate, glabrous, apically with several marginal, subulate, about 0.05 cm long setae. Flowers single, glabrous, 1-2 cm long. Sepals ligulate-oblong, rather obtuse, 1 by 0.2 cm Petals 1 cm long, at the base unguiculate-narrowed, obliquely spathulate-elliptic, obtuse, 0.3 cm wide. Lip blade at the base subovate, almost triangular, at apex narrowed, subacute and with straight margins, 0.5 by 0.3 cm; spur short, obtuse. Column short, 0.1 cm long, glabrous, clinandrium with a few teeth, apex truncate. Ovary glabrous, 0.5 cm long. (After Gilli, 1983).

Colours: Flowers white.

Habitat: Probably epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 2950 m.

Flowering time in the wild: February.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).

Distribution in New Guinea: Papua New Guinea.

Cultivation: Probably cool growing epiphyte.

Note: The genus Glossorhyncha is here considered to be a synonym of Glomera. For the present species a name under Glomera is not yet available; it may be a species already described under a different name.
