Epiphytic, pendent, 30-40(-50) cm long, several-stemmed. Roots filiform, flexuose, smooth. Stem at the base with cataphylls, laxly c. 6-leaved, ancipitous, covered with ancipitous leaf-sheaths. Leaves erect-patent, equitant, linear-lanceolate, falcate, acuminate, 5-13 cm long, near the middle 0.8-1.2 cm wide. Inflorescence rather densely many-flowered, cylindrical, c. 8 cm long, 0.4 cm diam. across the flowers. Floral bracts erect-patent, lanceolate, acuminate, usually a little longer than the ovary. Flowers erect-patent. Median sepal ovate-oblong, obtuse, 0.15 cm long. Lateral sepals ovate, subobtuse, as long as the median sepal but a little broader. Petals oblong- ligulate, obtuse, in apical half slightly dilated, almost as long as the sepals. Lip at the base cordate, somewhat concave, ovate-lanceolate, somewhat dilated at the apex, 0.2 cm long, 3-lobed; lateral lobes triangular, divergent, much larger than the tooth-like mid-lobe. Column short. Anther rounded, in front weakly emarginate. Ovary subcylindrical, very minutely puberulous. (After Schlechter, 1905)

Colours: Flowers pale green.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 600 to 1000 m.

Flowering time in the wild: January, July, August.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea), Solomon Islands.
