Type: Mayr 652 (holo L)

Epiphyte, very small. Rhizome pendulous with incurved apex, 0.5 cm long, covered with rather large, apiculate, sparsely punctate, 0.65 cm long, soon disintegrating sheaths. Pseudobulbs turned to all sides, erect-patent, making an acute angle with the rhizome, thin, 0.6 cm long; when dried strongly rugose. Leaf narrowly lanceolate, sparsely punctate, c. 1.7-2.7 by 0.26-0.36 cm; base contracted in a petiole; apex apiculate-contracted, below the mucro papillose-serrulate; when dried rigidly coriaceous. Inflorescences 1-flowered, from the rhizome, fascicled; peduncle short, 0.18 cm long, with rather large, concave, 0.35 cm long sheaths. Floral bract rather large, concave, 0.28 cm long. Flower 0.25 cm long. Median sepal oblong, covered by the margins of the lateral sepals, 3-nerved, channelled-concave, 0.28 by 0.1 cm; base wide; apex narrowed, subacute. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate, dorsally longitudinally grooved, 3-nerved, 0.26 by 0.15 cm; base wide; apex very shortly obliquely acuminate, acute; the facing margins connate to the middle, inflexed. Petals linear-lanceolate, acute, 1-nerved, 0.15 by 0.03 cm or somewhat wider. Lip inserted on the apex of the column-foot, distinctly exceeding the column, sigmoid, channelled, 3-nerved, simple, without auricles, spathulate, slightly more than 0.2 by almost 0.1 cm; base dilated, 0.06 cm wide; claw oblong, at the base 0.04 cm wide, gradually on either side rounded-dilated; above the base angular-dilated; apex shortly obtusely angled, pointed; except the base shortly papillose-finely ciliate. Column short, including the anther 0.1 cm long, with elongated apex, somewhat incurved, acute, concave; stelidia subulate, falcate-incurved, acute, the front margin with a bent, downwards pointing, obtuse lobule; stigma suborbicular, deeply concave, the margins somewhat raised; column-foot very short, making an obtuse angle with the ovary, slightly more than 0.03 cm long. Anther cucullate, suborbicular, 0.05 cm long; apex extending in a triangular, obtuse, slightly recurved beak; connective thickened. Pollinia narrowly laterally compressed-pear-shaped, lightly curved, with acute base, 0.04 cm long; the inner ones probably very thin. Ovary obconical, 6-grooved, subfurfuraceous-punctate, slightly more than 0.1 cm long; pedicel slender, 0.16 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1923)
