Epiphyte, with erect or spreading, stem-like rhizome. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs erect, parallel to the rhizome, subcylindrical, 0.5-0.7 by 0.2-0.3 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, oblique, ligulate, apiculate, 2-3.5 by 0.5-0.8 cm in the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very short, covered with 2 peduncle-scales. Floral bracts lanceolate, somewhat longer than the ovary. Median sepal ovate, shortly acuminate, densely ciliate, hardly 0.3 cm long. Lateral sepals oblong, 0.5 cm long, subobtuse, glabrous; in basal third boat-shaped-connate, free part subcucullate. Petals suborbicular-ovate, subacute, glabrous, minute. Lip rhombic-ovate, acuminate, hardly 0.2 cm long; margins minutely and densely finely ciliate. Column short; stelidia subfalcate, apiculate, large; column-foot porrect, large. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Ovary almost 0.08 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)

Colours: Flower rose-red. Petals white, translucent.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 300 m.

Flowering time in the wild: April.
