Epiphyte, very small. Rhizome creeping, short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs obliquely ovoid, 0.5-0.8 by 0.3-0.5 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, ligulate, subobtuse or minutely apiculate, glabrous, 2-4 by 0.3-0.6 cm near the middle; base narrowed. Inflorescence 1-flowered, to 4.5 cm long, wiry, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts minute, many times shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Flower erect. Sepals lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, 0.4 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely oblong, obtuse, glabrous, 0.13 cm long. Lip slightly fleshy, narrowly lanceolate-tongue-shaped, elongated, subobtuse, glabrous, 0.28 cm long. Column short, glabrous; stelidia subulate; column-foot slightly incurved. Anther reniform-cucullate, umbonate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary wiry glabrous, 0.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)

Colours: Flower yellowish striped red-brown. Petals whitish. Lip greenish.

Habitat: Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 450-900 m.

Flowering time in the wild: March, May, June.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
