Epiphyte, pendulous, branched at the base, to 20 cm long. Stem terete, glabrous; sheaths acuminate, tightly clasping the Pseudobulbs. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose glabrous. Pseudobulbs laxly spaced, erect-patent, subconical-cylindrical, rugose-striate, glabrous, 0.9-1.3 cm long; base long adnate to the stem, 0.3 cm wide above the base. to the apex somewhat narrowed. Flowers subsessile, single. Inflorescence short, rather small in the genus. Floral bracts lanceolate, exceeding the ovary. Sepals porrect, lanceolate, strongly acuminate, glabrous, c. 1 cm long. Lateral sepals up to near the apex connate. Petals obliquely oblong-lanceolate, 0.25 cm long. Lip minute, rhomboid-lanceolate, obtuse, vaguely 3-lobed, 0.25 cm long; margins minutely serrulate, glabrous; above grooved; underneath obtuse keeled. Column very short; stelidia very short, tooth-like-triangular, obtuse; column-foot long elongated. Anther helmet shaped-cucullate, in front broadly obtuse. Ovary cylindrical, 0.2 cm long, glabrous; (After Schlechter, 1905)

Colours: Flower pale orange-red.

Habitat: Epiphyte (on shrubs) in lowland forest; 300-500 m.

Flowering time in the wild: January, February, May.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
