Type: Gjellerup 997 (holo BO; iso L)

Very similar to Bulbophyllum macranthoides. Differs in: Column foot with 1-3 low, rounded ridges in the proximal half. Stelidia with a small, deltoid, obtuse tooth close to the base. (After Vermeulen, ms.)

Colours: Sepals pale ochre with a greenish hue. Petals pale ochre. Lip light greenish yellow. Scented.

Habitat: Epiphyte on tall trees; 10-160 m.

Flowering time in the wild: February, November.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
