Type: Micholitz s.n. (1894, Papua, Cloudy Mts.) (holo B, lost)

Epiphytic, erect, c. 7 cm high. Rhizome short, c. 0.15 cm diam.; roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs c. 0.7-1 cm apart, oblongoid, 1- or 2-leaved, c. 0.6-0.7 cm long, near the middle 0.3 cm diam. Leaves erect, linear, obtuse, narrowed towards the base, c. 4.5 by 0.3 cm. Inflorescences very slender; peduncle filiform, c. 5 cm long, with a few acuminate peduncle-scales; rachis c. 2 cm long, rather densely many-flowered. Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, almost as long as the ovary. Flowers very small, glabrous. Sepals ovate, obtuse, 1-nerved, 0.13 cm long; lateral sepals strongly oblique, along the front margin towards the base strongly dilated; mentum obliquely semioblongoid, obtuse, c. 0.1 cm long. Petals obliquely ovate, obtuse, 1-nerved, a little shorter than the sepals. Lip at the base semioblong cuneate-dilated, in front (when flattened) crescent-shaped, apiculate, at the base somewhat concave, 0.1 cm long, in front 0.1 cm wide. Column short; rostellum bifid, erect, distinctly surpassing the clinandrium; stigma transversely oblong. Ovary clavate, pedicellate, glabrous, c. 0.18 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1919)
