Roots 0.1 cm wide, Rhizome 0.25 cm diameter, interned between two stems 9. Stem 2.8 cm apart, 19.5-80 by 0.11-0.5 cm, erect, cylindrical, intrnodes 10, 1.8-2.7 cm long; 7-9 leaved. Cataphylls 4. Leaves petiolate or sessile; sheaths 4.5 cm long; petiole sessile to 0.6 cm long; blade up to 8.3-30 by 1.8-3.5 cm, (linear)lanceolate, base cuneate, apex acuminate, with 3 prominent veins, lateral 2 subprominent underneath. Peduncle 13.2-65 by 0.1 cm, straight or substaight, terete in cross section, at base subglabrous to very short subtomentose-pubescent at upper part, internodes 4, 2.8-6.7 cm long; peduncle scales 4, 1.4 cm long, tubular lanceolate, apex acuminate, sparsely pubescent; rachis up to 12 cm long, subdensely many-flowered. Floral bracts 0.7 cm long, ovate, apex acuminate . Flowers erect-patent. Median sepal ca. 1.5 cm long, lanceolate-oblong, minutely abaxially pubescent, apex acuminate, patent. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals almost as long as sepals, obliquely lanceolate-ligulate, apex acuminate, glabrous. Lip total 0.7 by 0.5 (at apex) cm, base cuneate, with two small basal lamellae, in the middle with two oblong thickenings, at apex 3-lobed, lateral lobes angular, divergent, bent upward; mid-lobe lanceolate, apex obtuse. Column 0.5 cm long, rather thick, glabrous, contracted clinandrium. Anther cucullate-ovate, round in the front, margin minutely erose, sparsely abaxially pubescent, keel long. Pollinia very small, oblong, caulicles thin, long, glandular oblong. Ovary with pedicel 2 cm long, subclavate, very short pubescent. (After Eang Hourt, unpublished manuscript 2004)

Colours: The flowers are yellow with red dots on the inside, the lip white, the column whitish with two red spots on the back.

Habitat: Terrestrial in lowland forest; 100 to 300 m.

Flowering time in the wild: January, July, October.

Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea).
